MWTK What design in particular excites you?

Being a big fan of purposeful and beautiful to look at design I just wondered what others like the look of. Prefer to keep this topic non car or bike as there's plenty of those, I'm thinking more electronic goods, furniture, utensils etc. Not architecture either, that's a topic for another day.

I'll start off,

La Corbusier chaise (one of his many designs)



NAD early amps, straight boxes, slim, basic knobs and an amazing looking muted grey



Just about any Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
New imacs and mac books.
Any converse shoes due to their utilitarian construction.
H&K MP5 especially ones that have been styled and gold plated by nutty dictators.

Kitchen Aid mixer



The smooth flow of it and the enamel high gloss colours.

Red's new handycam prosumer model


Looks battle ready with a casing of a maglite on roids.

So many things, but just some that tickle my fancy at the present moment.

Feel free to explain why? Is it looks, ergonomics, function, touch?

**edit: Wow, the RED "ONE" camera is only $25,000. Bargain.

The EPIC M only $58,000. Again, bargain.

I mean.. not for you and I, but as a very serious piece of cinema-making kit, that's pretty god damn awesome.

Always loved the design of Bang & Olufsen's BeoLab 8000 speakers. Almost a 15 year old design now and still look & sound brilliant:

Deej, I like the Yorg Yanse cutlery, very clean, utilitarian design, like prison cutlery (I imagine).
Sventek, I'd never seen that, a calculator. I thought it was some sort of weird fishing reel.
Sprint - check out Wally marine, more of a modern take.

We went over that kitchen mixer in design methodology for engineering at uni as an example of a design that has stood the test of time.

It was designed in the 50's or 60's i think and hasn't changed at all.
