MWTK What's the 1st band you really loved
Just wondering what was the first band you listened to that really hit you with that goosebump feeling when you heard one of their songs?
Mine was Carter USM back in the late 80's, there'd been plenty of music prior but these guys really did seem to be making music I liked and lyrics I could relate to.

![]() In late 1995 a song called Wonderwall was released, and the first time I heard it, I thought "that's gonne be a #1!". It did, I bought the album, loved it, bought their previous album, loved that too, and started buying the singles aswell. Seen them in concert in Perth twice (missed the accoustic session last year though ) bought Liam Gallagher a drink, and have sung every lyric to every song till my voice went. The goosebump moment was the 1998 concert in Perth. It was my birthday, so it was already a huge night for me. Oasis performed Wonderwall, then stopped mid-song and watched as the crowd sung the chorus in unison. It was amazing to be there and to be part of it ![]()

The Living End. Prisoner of Society gets me rocking every time I hear it.
I went down to Perth for a friend's birthday in 2006, and he told me TLE were playing the night I arrived, so he got us a couple of tickets. It's still the only gig I have ever been to, and it totally blew me away.

It's not a band, but the thing that got me into music was Michael Jackson.
Such a drastic shame he turned out so god-damn crazy, the son of a bitch had so much talent ![]()
