went off the trail a bit with "The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band"

The Dead Kennedy's.
To Drunk to Fuck and Holiday in Cambodia are still shining lights in punk music all these years after their release. I just don't get the modern punk rock emo shite.

First Band that got me excited was "Jethro Tull", saw my first concert when I was 13, back in 1973.
Their late music was not that goo though.

.. difficult to remember when precisely my interest in music was piqued but bands/artists that have been with me for a goodly few years would be ... Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Queen, Sex Pistols, Violent Femmes, Tom Waits, Grace Jones, Nenah Cherry, Henry Rollins (Black Flag) ... I'll stop now

Okay, as a young impressionable pre-teen boy in the 80's it was Belinda Carlisle. Man she was H.O.T.
From just before end of high school to now (over 10 yrs) has to be Smashing Pumpkins, have all the albums, a tattoo on my arm, special releases etc. 'Disarm' can bring a tear to the eye if I'm in the right (wrong) mood.
Bring on April 6! V Festival, QOTSA will be there too. Seen them at BDO a few years back. anyone else going?
"My life has been extraordinary, blessed and cursed and won" Muzzle - Smashing Pumpkins
