    PC or PSX

    Hi Folks,

I want to get Battlefield 3 soon. But I'll need a new PC to play it.

But I am considering buying s PSX and playing it on that. Its a lot cheaper to buy a PSX then a new PC.

What is the gameplay like on PSX for games like BF3?

Jesus christ ceebee.... don't even fucking consider it.

Nothing says "I fail at life" more than playing shooters on consoles. Just don't do it.

I've got mates that used to play ALOT on PS3 for bc2.
They all recently got new pc's and they all prefer to play on pc now as the graphics/gameplay etc is much better and more challenging. They say they wouldn't go back to a Ps3 for that sort of thing anymore. Not for serious gaming anyway...

PC all the way, I play all my games on PC, my PS3 is mainly used as my media centre.

    ^this exactly haha.

PC definately. PS3 was bought purely for Media Centre. (and a few PS only single player games I enjoy.)

IIRC, shadowrun allowed XBoxers to play against their PC counterparts for a while. Unfortunately the consolers got schooled so thoroughly that it was then divided into platforms again. Go the PC, it is better in every single way. My PS3 has for the most part just sat there collecting dust as there isn't much out there for it that isn't on PC or is worth playing if it's not on the PC.

Cost-wise, depends on how savy you are at comp building and just how badly you need an upgrade, but I'd say you can get away with an upgrade cheaper than you can for a new console.

Well just Upgraded my PC. Poor, but fun

    AMD X6 Six Core 1100T
    8 Gig 2133mhz Ram
ATI HD6970 (Will be running two in X-Fire as soon as I can afford another one)
    Hybrid Drive

    Let the games begin
