Not too sure. Kind of leaning towards the latter. Doesn't have to be made by some isolated independent company, just kind of mean something not really well known.

The acid house is allright from what I remember. Hard to understand the THICK scottish accent but it is entertaining.

anything by hal hartley. the unbelivable truth, simple men, trust, amateur, henry fool,......all great films. dont expect car chases and gun fights though. but if you like your scripts outstanding and characters real then give em a go.
