I had an interesting but short conversation with someone I work with a few weeks back. The subject of said conversation was whether it is excusable to be rude to some one if you give them a tip ($5 tip). In her opinion its ok for someone to be rude and tip you, however if they are just rude they wont get any service.
I have the opinion that if they are rude either way they will be avoided, regardless of how much they give. Is accepting a tip from someone who is rude an ok thing to do? Do you think its the right thing to do when there is so much of a fuss made about how rude people in society are? Should we be reinforcing bad social etiquette all in the name of a measly monetary reward.
Opinions would be handy, give reasons as to why it is or isn't ok.
