RWTK: What is the best scam you can come up with or have heard of?

So in light of Naths post and the fact that someone hacked a friends email account today and sent me the old "Im stuck in Barcelona please send me some dosh" email. Why are such bad scams netting such good coin?

And what do you think would hypothetically work as a world wide internet scam? Have you ever come up with a cracker?

This mang makes money out of copying corporate logos, flipping them horizontally (or taking out a small bit of detail) and reselling them.

Old people would have to be the key, Or just something simple like mocking up a telephone bill and sending it out, change the bsb numbers or something and see how many people pay the bill.

After watching probably too much TV,
I think I could pretend to be a repo man. Get some big mates, rock up at houses with a piece of paper that has car info on it (licence, make, name, VIN number) and address, (all not hard to find)
and say the car is being repo'd, take the keys. Drive off.

I remember when gst started in nz a guy in Auckland had a rusty old fishing boat worth about $20k ,he started a new company then sold the boat to that company for $20 million + gst then clammed the gst back he got 2millon and was never heard of again .
