I was trying to put my Mrs mind at rest as we talk of the future ie rug rats and motorcycle safety. It is commonly thrown around (Track days for novices - Telegraph) that the track is safer than the road for many reasons such as no oncoming traffic, no pedestrians, no obstacles, skills learn't etc. I hold this belief as I am sure many would, how ever my other half does not believe the hearsay.

What I want to know is if any off you out there have any statistics or solid data to back up this commonly held belief? Or even decent articles, points for peer reviewed articles

Well as someone whos had offs at the track AND the road....I know I sustained less physical injury at the track. Cant say it was cheaper to repair the bike...as both were low sides...I walked away feeling much better at the track. Get life insurance or some type of insurance cover for the worst case scenario...and let her know IF the worst does happen...you guys are going to be ok financially....if thats her issue. *shrug* or freeze ur sperm?
