    What's for diner tonight?

I don't know for most of you but I spend a good few hours of my day thinking what I should cook for dinner since my gf doesn't really cook. I am becoming quite a master chef at home but not good enough to quit my day job.
I am going to cook Thai pork hock stew (Khao Kha Moo) served with aromatic Thai Jasmin rice. Great winter comfort food.
Recipe can be found here if you want to try something new.

I cooked that a few weeks ago and it turned out great. Now my family and friends are requesting for me to cook that again today.
oh tell her instead of using the coriander roots you can replace it with 5-10 coriander seeds.

I hate/envy you already But I guess it means I get to enjoy my own cooking! I get torn between the awesome Kamado style BBQ and the wok, which tends to keep the menu simple.

I might order pizza tonight, given I haven't had it in ages. I'm pretty good with most Italian dishes, but generally instead live off frozen meals during the week, because they tend to be better for my wallet and waist line (I only ever buy them when they're on special, they taste better than most seem to be aware relative to the cost also $2.50-$4 for a reasonably healthy meal).

Where does one find an award winning chef wife? I'm calling wall hacks.

Pork hock has been stewing away slowly in the pot for the last hour and only going to be another 2 more hours for the meat to fall off the bones.

It'll definately will be more authentic there's always an option to use coriander seeds if you don't have coriander roots. I used oriander seed and roots this time because I didn't have enough coriander roots.

The 12bucks coffee grinder I bought at K-Mart is already paid off. I use it to ground spices instead and it works great instead of motar and pestle.

I want this tread to become more of recipe and food idea sharing thread.

I am going to write up the recipe I came up with the other day too cook up some chicken wings. I'll give you a hint; it's got rosemary, honey and soy. I am going to refine the recipe first before posting it.
