Aloha All,
My name is Nathan, I am 28, and I am from Hawaii. Specifically Kailua on the island of Oahu. I moved "down under" in 1997. I love it here in Perth. Outside of Hawaii, this place is paradise! Actually, it is even better for riders here than in Hawaii. The roads in Hawaii are twistier but, believe it or not, they are far less safe. It rains every day in Hawaii. It's a tropical thing. It makes riding a little tricky especially on the mountain roads. Hawaii is also full of US military. Not the brightest bulbs in the pack. They all think that they are invincible. Especially in thier cars, huge trucks and Jeeps. Add to that no helmet law...
I only rode a few times in Hawaii on the road as it was pretty dangerous. I also was unlicensed at the time (Bike not Car). I have been riding here for 3 years. I have recently bought a CBR600F4i. Great bike. Much better than my last one.
Though the roads here are not designed as well as in Hawaii, they are a lot drier. Cops here don't drive thier own cars, and there aren't a bunch of Jarheads in Trucks (Utes) trying to change three lanes at once.
I have not been on too many rides around the area. I have been around the Weir a few times. Love that. Other than that, not much. Any suggestions?
I would love to learn how to stunt, but I am still a little too timid on my new bike to really give it a shot. Maybe in a few months...
Well, that's it for now.
Drop by and say Aloha!
