Yep, been reading a while, been meaning to post.

So heres my bit for today.

I got my first bike just last weekend, Yamaha SR250, 1984.. licenced till August, needs no work.
Pretty gutless, but its going to do the job till I get me a big bike next year.

Imma going for me test on March 27, counting the days down now ... been secretly going for lil hoons around our neighbourhood..

Today, got it up to 80km (phoar.. not in like 3 seconds.. more like 20) and the LH mirror came off, hit me in the shoulder, falling behind me. There were some cars following me but somehow.. the housing is relatively undamaged. Of course.. the mirrors history.. I should be able to get another mirror cut at work to fit

Cant wait to get out there!

AWESOME! My first bike was an 84 SR250 - be kinda humorous if it was the same bike. If you get on a highway and can draft up behind a truck or van, you can reach the SR's peak power zone (I won't dignify it by calling it a powerband) at 110km/h in top gear and stay there for a while. Otherwise I reckon 80-90 is about all I could ever get.

The mirror came off, coz I was adjusting it just moments earlier.. I had just got it right.. doh.

Someone put a sticker on it partly covering it up.. Ive decided to keep the sticker for now

A mate of mine got the bike up to about 110km/h, following behind my cage, so yeah, its possible.. takes a while tho, lol

Nah - different beast most likely. The silver grab rail had been ditched to fit a gear-rack. Photos sure are bringing back some memories though!
