    East coast guy says hi.

    Hi there

Before I start, yes I bought a Pagsta.

One week in and the Motor Needs to be replaced.

I found this forum from my reasearch into buying a LAM.
I found the Pagsta and found this forum.

    There were the warnings,
    There were the Nay sayers.

    But I still bought it.
    Sigh.

I said to my self, "self" "why not" "unlimited kilometer waranty" "its only a learner bike it will do for twelve months"

My girlfriend also supported me on this as it was nice and safe and slow. Slllllooooooowwwwwwwww.

Now I sit here looking at my lid as I wonder when I get it back. The motors are all sold in the Country ATM and Pagsta are yet to advise me on when the 2010 shipment is here.

    Things to note.

Pagsta are venturing into the East coast Market and with the Proper Bike stores not interested they are using A car dealer ship in my instance to sell the Bikes.

The dealer then Puts them together and so In my case the Chain was TOO tight, the gear lever incorrectly aligned and the clutch cable had not free play...

I had looked over this and Queried some issues but was told that it would run in, and that I wasn't used to this bike etc blah blah.

I was a good boy, putted around Running it in and after three days New something wasnt Right.

    Pagsta Is on Notice.
I DO NOT hold them Resposible ATM
But I do want to have the engine replace, checked by a Reliable Motor cycle Mechanic and to there credit have supplied to me the Mechanic and are in the process of supplying an engine.

    Lets see what happens

Other than that great to be here... how is everyone else?

    Welcome...

I think you may have learned why they are cheap...

And as for only having it for 12 months...

How are you going to sell it...no one wants them...

    Hi Amac
    Welcome!

Your story is a sad one
All the best with the wait and the repairs
I would have the work done by their mechanic double checked, just for safety's sake.

fortunately I had a friend who staunchly steered me away from a pagsta. he wasn't too keen on my hyosung either. the lesser of two evils

my reasons were the same as yours.. it's only 12 months right?

Posted via Mobile Devicehaha well i at least you have me to bag! Who do us pagsta owners get to raise our noses too!?! Lol i guess its character building. Apparently if i mod anything i lose the warranty. Fair enough i guess yet would love just a little extra push. It pulls my 100kg not to bad i guess and it hits all the speed limits. It is a perfect learner bike for someone as long as the engine is going

Posted via Mobile Deviceif you were not used to riding than the under powered pagsta provides the rider with some level of safety in relation to its forgiving nature. Over reving amd missed gears could lead to exprensive repairs on a second hand bike, this has twelve months warranty. With the modest accellaration, the learner can gain confidence in road awareness and rider safety with out putting then selves in risky situations due to inexperience. Its not to say that you cant hurt your self but if your mother or half wit cousin was to learn to ride and said "hay what bike should i get?" ferris i would steer them towards the safer option instead of something potentially expensive or even deadly. So i guess a 'perfect' learner is subjective, but the learner stage for me is for understanding safety and the road on two wheels. Having fun too of course. Once the training wheels come off then its time to move on hopefully to something more expensive and challenging. So in short the perfect learner bike should be inexpensive, safe, and a stepping stone. Does any body agree or have an differant opinion?

Sort of, but not really. I have no vested interest in the bike I posted. It was just the 1st 2fiddy thread I saw.

TBH, anything is better than the deathtrap you bought.

Yeah, I do know a lot about them actually, they tendered to us to import them into aus. I got to go over them with a fine tooth comb. They're a piece of shit, and I've yet to see a worse quality vehicle that's legal to sell in Australia.

Happy? You shouldn't be. You own a Pagsta, you poor bastard.

Posted via Mobile Devicerich brakes are fine. Actually really good front. Guess i should expect the response im getting. Well like i said. Pulls good with my 100kg. Stops great. I have owned a cbr250rr this is not my first bike. This is first hand honest opinion. Look at it this way, i am happy with it even though the chain was installed incorrectly. I cant wait to ride it again because IT FEELS SAFE and not a death trap. Thats the way it is, accept it or dont.

I don't need to accept anything. You do. It's your bike.
