Thought I would sign up to have a look around on the site, am impressed! I have been riding dirtbikes for years (currently have a CRF450 and ride mainly at AJS and Collie MX tracks) but finally ventured into the world of road bikes last year. Picked up an 08 250 ninja last year and have enjoyed many great rides since. Have my R class test pencilled in for the 31 March and am really looking forward to buying a bigger bike. Have ridden a few bigger bikes but mostly enjoyed my mates MT-01. I have narrowed my selection doewn to:
Yamaha MT-01
Yamaha FZ1
Honda CB1000R
KTM Super Duke

There is so much selection out there, but I want a bigger capacity bike and something with a more upright riding style (the motocrosser in me) and I love the look of the naked bikes. Anyway, thanks for having me!

Hi and welcome along, of those I'd prefer the FZ1 in either S or N, the SuperDuke would more likely suit your motorcross style

Went and looked at the FZ1-N yesterday, think that may be my future bike! Am gonna testride it just after getting my R class....any thoughts on this bike? From what I have read, it seems pretty good..

Well I passed my R class today! Very stoked after my riding instructor said I got the 'bad' assessor at Midland. He was very hard on me with my O turns but was happy with my quick stop (stopped in 8m). So now, in the market for a new bike, taking a few for a ride this weekend (FZ1 N and Superduke). And also selling my ninja 250r (2,700km on the clock) if anyone is keen??

G'day and Welcome.
A mate of mine is concidering the FZ1-N, they look heaps tougher than the S version and we found some nice mods for the N. We spotted a FZ1-N done like the R1SP(blk/Gld) and it looks great IMHO.
Unless cost is a factor don't rule out the Ducati Hypermotard and Streetfighter.
