Greetz from Stratton! and a question...

    hi guys and gals!

ive been thinking of getting onto two wheels for a long time now and im glad i stumbled onto this site. ive spent several hours now pouring through it, absorbing all sorts of useful info i didnt know.

im really glad i found something local, all the info has so much more relevance (theres nothing in the United System of Arseholes that i or anyone could possibly want) and im looking forward to getting my bike so i can can go on a cruz.

and there lies my question. getting my bike. yes, ive checked those part of the forums.
ive got my choices down to 2, a ZX2R or a hyo GT250R. but thats neither here nor there. my problem is not can I handle them but can they handle ME? IM A BIG MAN, weighing almost as much as the bikes themselves do.
can they take it? will i need to modify them or should i be hanging my head in shame and going to jenny craigs?

The GT250R is a physically bigger bike and people of larger stature seem to have no issues with them. Go for a sit and see which you like. And welcome....
Remember half the cagers out there are below average drivers...

Mack 1 won't have a ZX2R, they are old school, you'd have to do a search in the Quokka or Sunday Times to pick one of them up.

The Ninja ZX250R will be found at Mack1, but they are a very tiny and skinny bike, not sure that will suit you.

Your other choice should be a VTR250, along with the Hyo (Causeway Bike shops)

You don't say how Big you aare, but I'd say Jenny Craig is a good idea anyway, if you;re worried

See you out there when you get a bike Oh and Terry is an brilliant Instructor that services your area, plus another couple of guys in and around the Midalnd area, all can be found in the Instructors sticky thread in the Two Fiddy section, though I'm sure you've found that already

Welcome mate, VTR for the big guys.
There are two questions in life.
    1:Which way do I go
    2:Whats the lap record.

Welcome! Worse comes to worse, change the rear sprocket and torque it up. You'll lose some top end but at the end of the day it wont matter as much... yet.
