Hello from Kiwi, soon to be Aussie

Hi guys and girls. Hopefully not too much for you to read...

Google found me this site while I was searching for Alpinestars TX-1 suit - wtf? Anyway, it's just what I have been looking for, as in October ( straight after Bathurst - GO HOLDEN!! ) I will be coming to live in your great city.

So a bit about me. I'm a Kiwi bloke, 31, single, from Auckland ( New Zealand ), currently work as an electrician at The University of Auckland ( Property Services ). I am also a qualified Machinist and Toolmaker, and have the New Zealand equivilent of HC licence and LF forkhoist licence, both of which I will convert to Australian licences.

I ride a 1985 Honda GB 250 Clubman to work everyday, and enjoy country riding at the weekends with people from the kiwibiker.co.nz forum when time permits. Outside of work and motorcycles, I enjoy and participate in classic cars / classic racing ( got 2 MG's, 1 road, 1 race ), badminton, cycling, and running. I enjoy watching V8 Supercars, MotoGP, WSB, and most sports really except rugby.

In October, I am packing my whole life up into a suitcase, renting out my 2 bedroom house, and coming over to your side to work in the mining sector, hopefully FIFO. I'll be looking for a room to rent in Perth from about the 14th / 15th October if anyone has one, and when I get sorted out and get a job, to buy a Suzuki TL1000R. I'll probably buy a cheaper bike first just so I can get around until I get sorted and settled. Is Bikepoint.com.au one of the best places to find bikes?

I'll be over in Perth from 16th to 23rd August to look around, go see a few mining companies, check a few things out, go to Kalgoorlie for a few days, and back to Perth, then home.

That's about it for now, you're probably all asleep

Hope to meet you on a ride some day. Andrew.
