Hi, just realised I should have posted a welcome here to introduce myself instead of jumpin' in on some older posts.

I'm Paul, my current ride is Vespa GT 200. I know that being on here may seem out of place with regards to the fact that I own a scooter - but I do ride. Every day, rain, wind or shine. I've clocked over 52,000kms, so I'm not your average just for weekend scooter or motorbike rider.

I just want to say that I find your forum useful, I enjoy the 'name & shame' thread immensely and now know it's just not me that has had some close calls or been tailgated by some fckwit in a cage (1CFO 643 - you know the score - what goes round, comes round) at 80kmph plus on Canning Highway a metre of my rear.

Basically, I enjoy riding and I appreciate that most of you on here have had years of experience riding all sorts of machines (perhaps even dare I say a scooter....ahem). I've also had some close calls too, a couple of years back I clipped a car and went down on my ass on the Kwinana Fwy - not fun. Twice had vehicles reverse into my parked Vespa. They ain't cheap to repair either, steel frame means panel shop = loads of dosh. Oh well, that's part of the fun of it all I suppose.

I've met some decent riders too out on the road. Hopefully, I've seen or met some of you who post on here already.

So, I'm not sure how many other scooter riders are on this forum but I hope I'm not the only one. Keep on doing what you do as you're doing a great job on here and keep an eye out for me on the FWY. Safe riding!

Thanks for all the welcomes and 'advice'. I wish for a bigger ride as I enjoy riding basically. I'm quite into that Honda DN-01, alright I know that it is an auto but I'm kinda use to that ;-) I also need to win Lotto and then I would tour Oz as part of my present to myself.
However, I'll need to resit my test as I'm restricted to an automatic up to 250.
