Hey lads


My names' Cam I'm a 20yo student and Im looking to find a tidy jap 250 for under 2k for my first bike!

Running or not, I want something to learn on. I've played with race cars and street cars but never the two
wheelers!

I'm studying design and tech teaching at ecu and I work at Repco part time

Here to do a bit of learning obviously

What sort if bike could I get for under 2k? (obviously licensed or able to be)

Yeah I've been loking at a prject gpx 250 on gumtree, but it was barely a running bike, heaps of spares though...

The newb secion on this forum is fukn ace! Heaps of good info.

Hi and welcome, you'll be lucky to find a running bike under $2k, if you can stretch to $3k then there are a couple of GPX's I saw at Mack1 this morning and there's bound to be one or two at Motorcycle Masters as well as some listed in the Quokka.

Hey guys!

picked up a zzr250 today

its got a little bit of fairing (only) damage, mechanically its good, 44,000kms, chain and sprocket have been done recently, pads are good, fork seals done recently, only thing is it hasn't been serviced in 8 months, (hardly driven in that time though). So its needs some new oil and filter possibly plugs. + a chain tension, not sure yet.

I don't have a license yet, so I havn't driven it further than up the driveway.*

Can someone recommend me a good instructor? I want at least 2 lessons before I go for my test. North of the river, most likely Joondalup if it's not too bad. When I went for my drivers license it was a terrible place, is it still pretty harsh for license tests? i.e. asshole testers or special tricks...

* by 'driveway' I mean 'block', and by 'up' i mean 'around'.

Get that seat recovered! Nothing worse than rain soaking into the seat foam, then sitting on it and feeling the water soaking thru yer trousers and wetting yer arse!

Have a look here for info on Joondalup - extend route-checking to include all of Hodges Drive and Marmion Ave

Hey Hiim,
Anthony at Elite (0402127909) is an awesome bloke! Got me on the road within half an hour and I'd never ridden before.
Really supportive and has bluetooth to make comms a lot easier!
