Hi!
I am Michel and 29 years old. From 14 till 25 years I only ever had motorcyles because I came to like sitting in the rain and cold but at least being on the move in a traffic jam. With 25 and a finished apprenticeship as mechanic I got me a campervan, strapped up to 2 bikes in the back and went on to travel the world. In most countries I was put off by the cost of running a motorcyle (speeding fines and registration which is both rather inexpensive in Germany where I come from) and am totally into trials bikes now. The older I got the faster the bikes were and eventually I started liking going slow again. My mates thought of course I was mad. The FZR 600 was sold and a CBR 125 came instead. Now they were about to call the people in white. And then another and a couple of engines. Then I met a guy who would import stuff from asia... It all came together when the chance arose to get at least a corner of my mothers garage. From your everyday reasonably priced (because crashed) CBR 125
I chopped a little bit here and there off, used all the facilities that the workplace offered to up the engine just this little bit and dumped wage after wage into that project. She ended up with 50kg less, more horse (dyno wouldnt read because disturbed by special ignition system). As I love my life, it was of course all wasted and we never came close to good times on the kart track where we went every now and then but it was all good fun.
I never liked the idea of inverted shifting scheme but it was possible and expensive to have so I got it. The first engine I blew in my life was then of course because I was too dumb to shift properly only shortly afterwards... At least she went with a boom.
Of course everything that went into the race bike needed to be tried thoroughly. For that I had another street legal one. Well it had a plate... Trying out the best gear ratio or setting up the flat carb on the now bigbore 136cc with higher compression on the way to work was actually great fun.
To distract the police there were seasonal changes. Here christmas. I tried a bigger tree but it reduced the top speed and would hinder when sneaking through the traffic. No go.
Only a couple of weeks back I landed in Perth and am now stuck in the jams every morning and every evening. It kinda looks like I will be working around here permanently and looking forward to get a bike again and blast through the middle when the lights are red... again...
Never afraid to ridicule myself, some showing off in a straight line. As if the bike wasnt enough yet
Seen the big stand on the weekend and am looking forward to see what happens round here in summer. Hopefully meeting some nice people
