Hey guys, stumbled in wrong room to start here..
Hey guys, stumbled into the wrong room to start with here ... totally missed the "welcome" bit.
Anyway, there'll be 3 of using the name, so I'm Blackey, an old bastard to many, wisdom to some & alzeimers to a few.
Ride most days with battle scars, rusted back injuries and I wince a bit when I hit a pothole (did I mention poor night vision)
I've got 6 kids & 2 grandkids & 2 hemaroids I call ex-wives.
I collect and kind-of maintain a fleet of old shovelheads, yes thats right, I'm a motorcycling-masocist
Pics of a couple of them here - FLH '82 "Purple Pimp"
Oh, forgot, I'm not in WA.
You can catchup with my previous ramblings (as I said before, wrong room to start) at - http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/foru...1/2#post943911

Gday Blackey, welcome to the community!
I'm sure your agewisdom will be of great value here.
That purple pimp looks very nice, not my kind of bike personally, but a very tight looking bike indeed. I spent a few minutes staring at the pretty pictures

G'day mate, welcome aboard.
The exits are...well there aren't any
Somebody will be around soon with your medication
Enjoy your stay.

Did you build the Purple Pimp yourself, or buy it of a bald ex army bloke?

Thanks for the Welcome guys/gals.
Hiya shortfuse, "a picture speaks a thousand words hey"
brought in couple of bikes from the US mate, she's actually an amalgamation from '63-'82, threw together from a couple of bikes/spares and bits had laying around, we've nicknamed her the "Poorman's Panhead", on a recent run to Cowra was nicknamed the "Purple Pimpmobile".
Shes running a '78 frame, 80ci '82 shovel, S&S carb, Andrews "B grind" cam, S&S oil pump, Jim's lifters / pushrods & lifter blocks(Hydraulics), Black Diamond valves/guides, 4 speed ratchet top box, an '85 belt drive, some tinware off a '63, drop saddle seat off a '67, you get the picture....
The black FLHS is one of the donor bikes...

Hey Munchkin, go to the welcome thread, hit "New Post" and say hi.
Don't be shy! (most of us won't be either).
