    Post Hey people

Hey everybody. It's my first time posting, but I have been on the site for a little bit just trying to learn more.

Had my test for R-E class today and I failed... My first attempt at the quick stop was a tad to long. I didn't indicate into a merging lane also. Major thing the testor told me was I left my indicator on going through the traffic lights just before turning off stock road willagee licensing centre!!!

Oh well I will learn from this expensive fail!

    And hello again to all!

Just keep practicing until it comes naturally. The things you failed on are things you should be doing anyhow. How long did it take you to stop? At 50/60kph it should be pretty easy to stop within the alloted 12 metres or whatever it is.

Anyway practice makes perfect. Good luck

I've been having lessons with Elite and I think they are really good. I was really nervous at the test and didn't ride like I otherwise would .

My first attempt at the stop I stopped at around 13m, whilst my 2nd attempt I got 10-11m. I've come over the handlebars numerous times on my pushy so I guess its fear of that happening again thats stopping me from applying more pressure to the front brakes.

Borris, Remember to setup and then squeeze hard. If you are going in a straight line and looking in the direction you are going it'll stop piss easy.

On my R class my motard stopped in about 4-5m Big brakes help, but there is no reason a 250 cannot stop quick either once you have mastered the front brake.

Let your instructor know this, I bet he will more than easily correct this for you with some simple drills. Riding is all in the mind bro, there is no spoon..
