    Hi from someone new to Perth

    Hi there.

    First up, I'll admit, not a biker at this stage. But I like the chit chat on this forum and have gotten some good feedback on certain things. Just arrived a few weeks ago to WA, been mainly on the East Coast of Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and a bit of California before this.

    Quite impressed with Perth and what I've seen of WA so far.

    Next task: looking for work. Web-related, hopefully in line with mobile/tablet development though I'm not a mobile-specific developer.

    Warning: I'm into Apple stuff. But I do have an Xbox360 and with Steve Job's passing we'll have to see how Apple does.

    Interests include: bushwalking, hopefully one day being able to surf properly, beaches, football (soccer), some gaming, Apple stuff, some racing (GT/ touring/ rally~ stuff for cars and MotoGP for bikes, not too crazy about F1), diving if it's not too expensive.

    as for diving ... $300 to get your ticket roughly. I got a 2nd hand kit from PDA (Perth Dive Academy) which was BCD, regs, computer for $1500 and now its just $5 a tank

    Welcome. I used to live in Canberra (s**thole). Perth is much, much, much better and a far nicer group of people. You'll love it here.

    I just got my diving ticket, there is plently of places to dive in perth and at low cost if you have your own gear. Rockingham's not to bad for a shore dive!

    Good luck with your bike hunt and hope to see you out on two wheels soon!
