So yeah.

I'm new, looking at getting my R-E licence, have no bike, etc, etc. Joined PSB on the recommendation of a friend, so if you think I'm a **** then blame munki_buns.

Basically all I want out of PSB at the moment is one metric arsetonne of advice - what bike to get, how much to pay, where to buy it from, where to get lessons, tips for riding, a shadow or two.... Have I missed anything?

So yeah.

Thanks and all that jazz....

Read. Lots.

There's about eleventy billion discussions on here about all kinds of things, including all the ones you've asked about.

The consensus is we can't form a consensus.

You most likely will find a list of instructors and choose the most convenient one for you.

Your taste in bikes (and what's comfortable etc) will be different to everyone else's.

So go get your R-E Learner's Permit, book some lessons, get a feel for it then start test riding 250s until you find one that you like.

And keep reading!

Welcome aboard, too - you've come to the right place.

Hi
In complete darkness we are all the same. It is only our knowledge and wisdom that seperate us. Dont let your eyes deceive you.

Hi ya..welcome..

Capt. covered it well...

Get your learners and sit some lessons..

Once you get a feel for it have been drooling over bikes at bike shops and sitting on them, you will have an idea of what you want...

Then get one and begin living..

Beware, this guy will give the emos some fierce competition

In life you only get one lap, might as well make it a good one.

Hey

What bike is for you really is a personal choice. The best answer I could offer is to get out there and try as many bikes that take your fancy. Hope to see you out there
