Most people on here are negative about Hyos because they never had the money to spend on their first bike. If you have to money get the 250 other bikes at that height you look like an idiot on it. I am 6'5 and no other bike is good.
Dont get a GPX or anything, those old ones look shit why do you want to ride around on an old POS bike.
Get the Hyo I love mine, commute with it every single day only had one problem and the warranty fixed it for me.

just my 2 cents me = 6'4 on a cbr250RR so yeh ... lol

Welcome Andy.
I'm 6'4" and ride a ZZR comfortably. The new ninja is about the same size i think.
No matter what you get I'm sure you'll love it.
See you out there when you do get a bike.

Yup let me know how you go on the Ninja wasn't for me. Also the Ninja's tyre width is a joke and it makes the bike look like a bicycle.
Just remmber, A hyo is a full sized bike only 250 thats a full size bike. its also a vtwin 4 this means when you put on a after market exhaust you CANNOT tell that it is a 250

yea that was one of my reasons to get a hyo was that its a vtwin and then i can get like a screaming demon exhaust and make it sound goooood but then i heard the two brothers exhaust for the ninja and that sounds madd but the price difference between the exhaust is liek 500buks more for the two bros so yea im liking the fact the hyo one is only 250 and made here in wa

I haven't heard anything as good sounding as my Hyo. Go for a Hyo bro you can get a 07 model for like 5000 if you look around with screaming demon already installed.
Just if you do get a hyo make sure you get one thats 07 and above.

Theres alwaysa few in the for sale section here on this forum and also other perth bike forums.
Also when I was at Elite Motorcycle training they had a billboard FULL of hyosungs for sale. give them a ring and ask them to quote some prices for you over the phone.
If you do look for a second hand bike. Make sure to check for tell tell signs of droppings. such as scratches on the bar ends, pegs and obvious fairing damage. and the obvious service logs

Want a decent Hyo? If it's still there go to McCulloch Suzuki on Albany Hwy opposite Cash Converters and next to the Holden dealership.
I'm not much into Hyo's myself, however I've not ever seen one look this good. Was traded in and it's 3 months old with 1,600 km on it. 2008 model, thus two tone colour scheme - silver and black.
The guy that bought it originally traded it there for a Gixxer 1000. He was a cashed up miner, and had paid 9k (apparently) for the bike brand new. Has a heap of after market stuff - Fender eliminator, holwer exhaust, windscreen thing(not sure what), clear rear and front indicators and tailights. Looks really nice. Has barely been run in.
If you're really considering Hyo's I'd start by looking at that one to get a standard.
They want $6500 for it.

Just need to remember, the 'old gold' of 4-stroke 250s (CBRs, FZRs, ZXRs) were built to a purpose. The new ones are built to a price.
Yes I own a Hyo as well, but for me it was the same logic as Stoneville mentioned.
It goes okay, not quite as fast as Murley's Ninja250, but I think a visit to the weighbridge would find our answer there!
Despite what CS2 (Camel Salesman) has said, they are a V-twin. 2 cylinder Vee arrangement. The Ninja250 is I2, Inline 2 cylinder. So they will ride a bit differently. The Hyo is a large-frame bike. has a 17L tank, and a shitty turning circle. Just to show that economy won over purpose, the tank is shared with the naked version. The tank has indents to allow more movement of the bars when turning. For the naked. They do not line up right on the lower handle grips on the faired bike.
But, indicators are only $50ish, so parts are cheap.

Ninja 250 + Roo Racing Pipe + 14t Front Sprocket = Win
The tyre width on the Ninja is actually an advantage over the Hyo. It's a narrower bike and therefore a narrower tyre means it can tip into corners much quicker and hold the corner better than the larger, rounder tyre of the Hyo.
Pointy Tyre = Better Cornering
Rounder Tyre = Better Straight Line
