    need help finding a bike!

    Hi guys!

My name is Tash, I'm looking to buy a bike, but I'm ridiculously short (not quite 5'). Do you have any suggestions for a 250cc that might be low enough?

    Thanks

    Hi Tash
    Welcome : )
more information would be good.... cruiser style bikes are generally lower and may suit you but if you want a sports style bike maybe look at the 125's instead..

Hai & welcome to the circus

Any of the 250 cruisers as in the VN & Aquilla etc will suit but don't let anyone tell you you're too short for the likes of a GPX and you'll have to stick with 125s. Shave the seat & add a bit to the soles of your boots and your away.

Have a look here for some handy info for the vertically challenged.

There's a Bandit 250 in the for sale section, a good learner bike and not a stupid seat height either.

GPX250 or Ninja 250. Shave the seat, & get big soles on your boots. You'll be right then.

All good advice. If you're looking for uber short seat height, you probably can't go past an older model CBR250. Of all the 250's I've sat on (and like you, I'm incredibly short!) this one was the best fit- both feet almost perfectly flat on the ground.

I wanted something new though. The Ninja 250R has a fairly low seat height, and with lowering and boots with a fairly average sole, I can get most of my foot down on each side. If I was selling mine, I'd tell you to sit on it to see how you go.... but alas, I can't part with it until I've bought a replacement BIG bike.

    Hope that helped.

Sports bikes cost lots to fix when they fall over, buy whatever now just to get on the road, then you have a whole 12 months to choose what you really want.
