    New rider, Hi all

Well im a new rider, who has taken on riding after a trip to Europe and all it's riding glory!
Im currently having lessons and riding my new ninja 250 with my dad ( He has a Cam am thing).
Perth street bikers motor expo group inspired me to join this group and i hope i can learn off you
guys and do my bit for Perth riders. I take the road rules very serious, and believe that the most
important road rule is to be alert and predictable. After spending time on european roads tho i can see
australia has alot to learn on road safety. I currently work @ Telfer mine site as a HD fitter.

If you guys have any advice for a new rider it would be most welcome.

    Cheers Connor

Welcome to PSB! And Sharky is right, the WA cagers are among the worst I've ever come across!

Welcome! A good way to meet people: Stoney's ride - next one: 1st Dec Just post up that you need a shadow & someone should be available to bring you along. Follow the rules, play nice & you'll have PSB friends in no time. I understand what you mean when some drivers over here need a swift education in safety but ... like you said, stay alert if you want to stay alive. My advice to new riders is expect cagers (cars) to do something that's going to kill you. Always have a way out of whatever road position you're in, whether it be gunning it, swerving, E-braking, whatever - have a way out - don't ever let yourself be in a position where you've nowhere to go. My advice for the forum is to search before you post and think before you post -- all of us at some point or another have suffered the wrath of the masses; try to minimise that where possible by posting informative and insightful thoughts as opposed to inflammatory jibber-jabber. Don't let any of this put you off though, we're a great community of people to be around.
    Cheerio!
