Gday guys,
Going for my test on January 30, just bought my first bike - GPX250. Thought I'd jump in and say "Hello" to you all and say I'm excited to be a part of Perth Street Bikes.
Hopefully get to meet some of you soon.
Cheers,
James

Welcome along Comet

Guys,
I'm trying to buy all my riding gear but am a little perplexed by the amount of brands, styles etc
I think I've decided on a Shoei XR1100 helmet as they seem to be really good quality and safe.
Any ideas on jacket, pants, boots and gloves?
Would greatly appreciate any feedback on brands etc and where I can buy them.
Thanks.

Stick with the big brands
Alpinestars for jackets and gloves, sartso or draggins jeans (the red wolf ones at kitbag are very good as well!), Alpinestars or sidi boots
Have a look on superbike toystore, and pm Patrick or amber for a good deal as a psb member.
With helmets its all about fitment for you head shape. If you plan to wear glasses under the visor, make sure that particular pair fits in.
If your buying locally, go see the team at 5 star yamaha , have always looked after psbers and are interested in making sure you get the right gear for you.

Agree with jmoore about the most important helmet attribute being comfort. A $1000 Shoei is not 3 times safer than a $400 AGV. Shark for round heads like my wife, AGV or OGK for angular (NOT pointy) heads like mine. Helmet house in Vic Park are good. West Coast Motorcycle Clothing have good prices, good range and good quality, just have to go to Dwellingup :-)

Doesn't Rossi wear AGV?
