Hi and welcome along
If it's new take it back to the dealer, let them sort it out
Hope it doesn't keep you off the road!
i did that but they didnt sort it!!just minor stuff but pretty annoying!
welcome . the warranty on new bikes . what did the shop do and report ?
well it was due its first service, they did that and then changed the battrey to see if that would fix the problem but no such luck as my indicators still blink like they have been on the piss and my speedo jumps numbers when i give it to it hard(it goes like this .... 80, 15, 60 ,44 etc),
well that sucks cos i have my test on wednesday morning!!! will i get failed because of these issues? the speedo is fine when u drive normally so the tester will never even know about that!
They just blink fast and then slow but i suppose they are not too bad, anybody heard of these problems with the new cbrs?some times it will cut out at lights and it idles a bit funny at times!maybe i just got a one off!
Which dealer?
They should be trying hard to rectify it for you. Has it got some Thai rain-damage maybe. :p
"She's got a few miles on her but..." -Mark-

It's definitely a warraty issue for sure.
Once you pass your test take it back and get them to sort it. You shouldn't have to pay a cent either as it will still be under warranty.
Sometimes a dealer will tell you you have to chase it up with the importer or Honda Australia. This is bullshit. The dealer who sold you the bike is responsible for any and all required warranty work.
Good luck on your test.

Welcome and good luck with getting your bike sorted. what is the charge rate like? does the battery go flat at times?
Welcome, I'm fairly familiar with it now having done 5000 k's and a couple trackdays on it, no probs at all.
The batteries unless fully charged by the dealer from new will shit the tin as there was a big hold up in the supply of these bikes, and as said... also check the connection under the front seat.
If one indicator is disconnected (or not plugged in/contact etc) the other will falsh twice as fast so check each connection inside the fairing and under the tail seat.
As for the Stall, it can happen to a new bike not run in and the ECU trained to do its thing thru the whole rev range,
Mine stalled on the way home brand new into the driveway with 10 k's on it and never since.
But.. if you are not happy with your dealer go to another Honda dealer and they will sort it, maybe it wasnt P/D'd properly.
They should be able to do a factory reset of the ECU and check for any faults.. least thats what others report on dedicated forums.
Thanks guys
I got it in Vic park and in fairness I'm sure there wont be a problem in them sorting it out for me, they just changed the battery to see if that worked and to bring it back if it didn't! They have been good and I would buy there again! Both of the indicators work and the wiring isn't lose so not too sure about that! I will do my test and then bring it back to them next week! Battery never goes flat, they just tried that to see if it sorts the problem! As for the bike itself I like the way it handles and its very comfy! Things i don't like is the single cylinder sound and the look of the exhaust but I still think they are an excellent bike! My housemate has the new ninja 250 and they just don't seam to be as well finished!

Welcome along brens,
Shame that you think the Ninja 250 isnt "well finished" its the best looking 250 out (IMHO). Plus it has the edge over your CBR250![]()
Not sure why they even considered changing the battery....
Definitely not a battery fault, sounds more to me like an ECU or MFD fault, buggy software or possible hardware failure.
In any case, its 100% on the dealer for any rectification, good luck with your test and with your bike!

Lock your shit up!
Sceince flies you to the moon, Religion flies you into buildings.
The New batteries can and have failed from new if not charged properly at p/d stage, and then causing fault codes.
Anyway dont want to sidetrack the welcome section, google shows its all covered elsewhere, and not cbr specific either.
Agreed but low battery voltage does not cause issues as described ime
