    Hi Everyone,

My name is Alison and I am a proud owner of a VTR 250 (I can hear you all larfing).

I am hoping there is some one out there on a "big boys bike" that can see past my disability (250) and let me tag along for rides (at the back of course)lol I have just found this fantastic world of riding, have done 1873kms (hope you didnt hurt yourself when you fell of your chair larfing) I am riding daily, but it sure would be beaut to have someone to ride with.

I am in the Northern sub, so if you wouldn't mind (I will fill ya tank).lol

    Please let me know,

    Great site!
    Thanx Al

welcome alison, no shame at all with having a vtr250, youll get more respect outta doing your time on a 250 than riding unlicensed. Plenty of 250s on here, check out the two fiddy section. oh, and enjoy yourself!!

    Welcome Al.

I swear, every welcome thread lately has had G'Day in the title. Must be having some sort of renaissance. lol

I wouldn't worry about being outcast for the vtr. I mean, they actually let hyosung riders into this place

Hiya! My wife has a VTR250 also. She loves it. As long as you have fun on it, who cares what it is?! ...unless it's a BMW...just can't warm to em...

Welcome aboard Alison (Wirewitch) any ride is a good ride if it's all you can ride or have got to ride better than your broom I'd say

Look forward to meeting you Thursday night on the Newbie ride, then we can verify you're a gal and get you into the Kitchen (not that that happens quickly, but you will get in eventually )

    Hey Alison, welcome aboard.

"In the loop" and "two-fiddy" sections here have rides coming up all the time which are friendly for new riders and smaller bikes. A fantastic way to pick up your roadcraft in a friendly environment with a great bunch of guys n gals. Not a bad place to perve on the machinery and talk about your next bike - things like why never, ever to buy a Krapasake for example.

Enjoy your riding, stay safe, we may see you on a ride soon.

I don't know a broom is a pretty cool mode of transport, you never get picked up for misbehaving by the cops

welcome aboard alison, great bunch of people in here. I strongly recommend going on one of stonnevilles 250 friendly rides as soon as you can. You dont just get 250s on these rides, you get all sorts. The pace is perfect for new riders, and there is tons of corner marking and group riding etiquette to make sure new riders dont get lost, feel welcome, and stay safe. Just go on one, meet other riders, ask questions, and enjoy the ride.

I would have a response for that, if I didn't want to completely whore out Alison's welcome thread. You'll keep, dear...
