Well, probably not a KLX or a TTR but I have a CRF250 and Husky TE250 in the shed that go very hard! How does a 10.69 sec 1/4 mile (on dirt) sound?

    Watch from 3:56

They actually claim a 10.09 1/4 mile....... I'd definitely like to see that, as it would have to be hitting 200km/h+ terminal speed to get that.

That's an error. If you watch the video it is actually 10.69. These bikes wouldn't have high terminal speeds. Their strength is that they are very quick off the mark (if you don't loop it!) - they just leap away from a standing start.

Do the calculations... They still have to average 135.5 km/h across the entire length of the 1/4 mile to be able to run a 10.69 second pass. I just don't believe they would be able to do it.

You might be right so don't shoot the messenger! I just took their word for it.

What I can tell you that MX derived 250Fs sure do accelerate hard... In a drag race from the lights am pretty sure that my CRF would be across the intersection and into 4th gear before my RC30 even got over the stop line.

Not to derail but the CRF250 is that the new version of the CR250's and 500's 2 strokes from years ago?

Now the CR500 was a fucking mental machine.

The CRFs (250 and 450) are 4 stroke and the CRs were 2 strokes; so no comparison really, especially with the CR500, those had more power than any sane person needed!

Not sure if my TTR would do 10sec unless i had rolling start on a downhill with a strong tailwind

ah gotcha ... the CR500 was the last dirt bike I rode (at least 15 years ago) and it was fkn insane to say the least. I certainly wasn't using the whole rev range
