Hi Guys!

Just thought i would say hi as i too am a newbie

I have a Honda CBR250R MC19 which is my new baby, im still learning and hopefully about to do my test in Jan/Feb sometime.

Started off on a Hyosung GT250R but it was wayyy too big and heavy for me as a learner and doing nothing for my confidence so i got rid of it and bought the new love of my life (Sorry babe - just incase my boy reads this)

Just a little about myself - Live NOR in North Beach, Love to eat, 4wd, the beach, diving, sitting on the couch being a sloth, do some modelling for fun in my spare time, studied Professional writing and Publishing at Uni...I am female and an Asian so maybe watch out if you see a Pink CBR on the roads... jk despite my gender and race im pretty good on the roads... apart from that one time i rolled my fj40... :p I work away from Mon-Thurs so i only really get to ride on the weekends which sucks

Anyway Im still very new and learning so i would LOVE any advice i can get!!

I got nothing against the Hyo, my boy rides a Hyo but oh my god i LOVE my little CBR. After going from the Scorpio in my lessons to riding a Hyo on the weekends for practise (Which just wasnt working out) i was almost ready to give up riding. It also didn't help when people kept telling me about people they know who have died or injured themselves badly all the time either. Personally i think the Hyo is great, for anyone who can put their feet flat footed on the ground or has ALOT of confidence. But my CBR fits me perfectly and ever since getting that bike ive been more keen about riding then i ever have. I cant wait to get home and take her out and now Im even more keen on getting my license as soon as possible!

Haha good on ya ... I have ridden the older cbr 250s a few times now... They are a pretty awesome machine... It's a shame they don't make them like that any more ... But hopefully now that the motogp has a new 250 class, we might see some more exciting 250s pumped out ...

Ride careful, pay lots of attention, and don't ride outside of your ability/comfort zone and you should be alright
