    Pillion

Hi all, I've read bits of the forum over recent years and have just decided to sign up.
I'm reasonably close to getting a licence but at the moment I'm still a full time pillion.
At the moment I'm living in Kalgoorlie and being carted around on the weekends on the back of a Harley, either a 2008 Softail or 2010 Street Glide.
Personally I've always loved sportbikes so I'll be looking at riding one soon, even if it is a lil 250

I'd hate to say it, but out at Kalgoorlie, you may get bored on a sports bike.... Dirt bike on the other hand, Bro n Law used to take me to.. is it Lake Hannan? South of the superpit. Actually, we'd get out all around Kal on dirtbikes always had fun, plenty of tracks to go bush...

The biggest problem i had with having a sports bike in kal was wearing square the profile of some expensive rubber. Kalgoorlie is probably more suited to cruisers or dirt bikes, theres not too many bends up there.

Haven't been around Lake Hannan, but you're right, it's dirtbike heaven up here. I plan on having a dirtbike, when I finish a restoration I'm doing on a '84 CR250. Actually I thought that's not a bad way to learn some basic coordination on the bush tracks before getting a street bike (I've been a driver for 12 years so road rules related stuff isn't such a drama).

I love the bush here too, there's lots of historical things to look at. The other day I had a great big roo hopping alongside the 4WD I was in and then I surprised a big emu with all his grown up babies and watched the whole group run away comically.
