    soooo new

    hey all,

    I'm Breno, or Brendan... i know a few of you off here from outside of the bike scene... (coz i've never been a part of it) but I've been around the modified car scene for a while now. really keen to give 2 wheels some love.

    I just got my learners the other week, and hoping to have my license and a bike (probably a ninja 250 for now) in the next few weeks...
    just thought i'd get on here and see what's going on, maybe get on a ride with you sometime. obviously because i'm super green on 2 wheels, i'd like to get a fair bit of bum on seat time to get my head around it and have some fun.

    hell yeah... bring on the summer!

    called the guys at causeway and mach 1 today, trying to get a hold of a bike this break so i can get a bit of time up before i go for my test... i've got 2 weeks off as of the 15th, and anyone willing to shadow would be hugely appreciated.

    would post up pics man, but it's just a stock, Black Ninja250 (no association with the *former* poster on here with the same name :p )... it's new, and predictable... not powerful at all... but it's not bad to learn on. although... being a taller guy (196cm) the riding position could be better. pretty spewing the LAMS scheme isn't in operation in WA. but, i'll learn and get confidence on this... then step up to a real bike.
    hopefully will be able to get my REs this break so i can come on some rides without a shadow. would be good to get some pointers and learn to ride around people with some experience... and by experience... i mean old people. :p

    Logie - what car did / do you have? seems there are a few adding to the things that can kill them by buying bikes. but... i learned the hard way in cars, so keen to learn the right way on bikes. no roll cages here. :/

    BJ - from past experience, it's usually safer to keep clear of the ones dishing out the warnings... lol.
