Thread: Sorting out mid life crisis........again!!!

Have finally got rid of dependant children & have no reason for tiptoing through life. So.... have let loose & purchased a bike after a 35 year break. Not quite as easy as I thought it would be but time in the saddle will cure that I'm sure.
First ride on the bike (riding it home from the dealers) I was talked into joining the m.a.d. ride by a guy on a blue Yamaha while waiting at some lights on Stirling Hiway. Great ride & am looking forward to more.
While purchasing some gear from Ric Gills, Kevin encouraged me to have a look at this site & so here goes.... slow & steady for the moment.

    Welcome Viking,

Happy to some of the "older" generation boosting the numbers, I don't feel so lonely now.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Fortunately, I'm neither fat nor bald ( maybe a bit rounded & receding!!!!!) & can't afford the BMW badge on clothing!! However, I am on the downhill slide to fantasy & have lots to do before that time comes. Have taken refresher lessons & just need time in the saddle now. Have done a solo ride to Mandurah & back which made me think that perhaps I should get a Harley for the comfort, but I've blabbed too much about "state of the art not ark" & would have to eat some humble pie! Still.... I can do that! LOve just riding the bike. Good to have the power again.

Thanks Andrew. Probably sailing on Time Out if not on the power boat this season> Having a casual year. See you on the water or on the road. Will probably join a couple of rides soon. Just need to get more time up to keep up although its a dream at the moment. Love the ease of getting through traffic!
