    2nd hand Ohlins

How much would you pay for a front end, off a 07 bike, say 1098s? Including the radial callipers, brake pads, b/lines, clutch m/c, brake m/c, levers, clip ons, complete triple clamps, new steering bearings, axle, plastic front guard. Traveled 5000 klms. No marks.

    Maybe somewhere between 3000 & 4000 AUD

my front forks were that much on there own

depends if the front forks are the FGRT 803 Ohlins or there is a cheaper version Ohlins available or there is the TTX fork internals for standard Showa Forks
Better to burn out than just fade away

The 1098S utilises FG511 Öhlins front forks.

Cannonball run is going to be mostly straight line methinks, probably not necessary just for the occasion, dude.

Correct all of the recent Ducati S and R models have the FG series, it's just the fork bottoms which are specific to Ducati.
