I kept the airbox lid on but removed the rubber snorkles.

I cut way too much from my airbox, would do it different if I had another. How'd you go with the throttle cables clearing the rear clip on the box, had to do some dremelage to fit on mine. Fiddling with the throttle cables took longer than the carb fitting.![]()

Yes shaping the airbox (used a carbide burr) to give clearance on the cables was rather time consuming.
Got it all nice and snug fit though.
Using the existing breather hose was also a bit of a nightmare, alot of swearing but I did get it back in!!
Had a chance to have a blast today, as most already know, the FCR's ARE the best bang for the buck you can get.
Great Induction noise with a very major jump in the grunt all over the RPM range.
Awesome!!

think my airbox is stock but i can,and others close to me on acceleration can hear it sucking lung/carby fulls of air.
Oopsie, I stood a little to close to the general public last night, and now my clothes smell of cigarettes, vodka and shame.
"quote" debs !

Can feel the pressure drop in the ears at wot I recon, if your heads down over the tank![]()

JE Pistons on there way, ready for some ceramic!!
APE Cylinder studs are here.
Ignitech ignition module has arrived, this will be cool!!!
Check out the stock + DP Ignition module curves -
Monsta got me onto this Ignitech module, sweet I say!!
Let you know how it goes.
Slow down will ya!![]()

Didn't think you'd leave it at a set of carbs for long Jules, sounds like we will have a few warmed up versions of the old 900 ss on here soon.
We will all have to get together for a run when they're done .

glad ya like the ignitech Jules. Make sure your running resistor plugs (has an 'R' in the code), I've heard of problems if you dont....
who ya getting to do the heads?

Got it all on the bike this morning, loaded the default Ducati V2 map from Ignitech then
changed it to what Brad Black runs.
Its ok, will be better with the Hi Comp Pistons though.
Didnt get a chance for a ride yet, darn painting the house kinda slows things down!!
Head work not sure on yet, might be Pro Flo or Brad Black over east.
Getting a quote from Brad pretty soon so see what he comes up with.
Will keep the stock cams as they arent to bad, the cost to replace with V2 210 - 213 I dont think is worth it.
You still got the MPL clutch basket? I've got a set of new 210's kicking around that I'd swap the basket for...![]()

Ho Ho!!
Time for some, ummm, repairs to ones broken alternator side crankcase!!
The stock Head/Barrel Studs are a royal pain in the arse!!!
More to come.
saw them today, not as bad as I thought they'd be...
also dropped the cams off for ya.

Phew!!
You seen more of these cases than me so your words bring a sigh of relief!!
Any recommendations on the tidy up?
Justin mentioned Valve guides with the inlet valve to suit the 210's.
Have heads cleaned up, no major porting.
Was going to go the Ceramic coat Combustion chamber/ports, valve heads, Crowns, pipes.
Do whatever else Justin does in the gutz of it all, Balance the whole mass, should do me I think...
Thanks for the cams, will keep tabs and let you know when the $$$ changes hands.
All good.
Sounds like your on the right path, should have some good poke as well as be reliable.
Dunno bout valve guides, they dont usually give trouble on that engine. But if Justin reckons they're a bit flogged out, I'd believe him... he's forgotten MUCH more than I ever knew...
