What is there not to like about the ie spec duke?
It is a classic and blends in well.
Plus you get the better suspension brake bits thrown in

Thats true in regards to the improvements to the later models.

For me I just like the older 900SS/851/888 style.
Rawness of the older bikes to.

Jules, I have driven Spuddies machine and they are THE SAME in Ducati style riding, just so little difference.
I now have taken the clutch cover off and replaced with an open one.
you cannot hear the difference either between the bikes.

**A very nice 888 must have fallen over/crashed (on it's lhs) saw it today somewhere standing all sorry and brused.**
Hopefully owner is in a better state.

The i.e. only has a different plastic skirt on underneath it is the very same.
All you Ducatisi were way to quick for me and bought all the great looking carbie SS ers
I only found out when doing the paperwork that it was a 900SS , I thought it was a SS1000 DS.
Mine does not have anything on the fairing stating what it is other than DUCATI.
It made the right sound, it was RED, it looked new and I wanted it, simple and stupid.

900SS is in Sydney, bike will be doing a quick trip up to Brisbane to
    Raider Motorsports workshop.
Full service, re-sprung/valve front and rear ends...

When the 999R arrives, both will be heading on over to Perth with
    road freight...

    More to come..

pretty sure this is the bike that blitzed the field in period 5 (forgotten era) against some mighty fast jappa's. He's touting it as the fastest bevel in the world...
