Benelli 600 quattro tesi still alive

well, it looks like the motors being used for concepts, a bike appears at the QJ stand at EICMA's china show using the engine
links here, sorry cant post a pic as its a pdf
    http://www.benelli.nl/600%20QJ%20qutattro.pdf
but the motor is the tesi one, a 18,000 redline jobbie,

appears parts of the casting where the front swingarm go have been removed for this naked bike running forks, interestingly it had no branding at the show,
still i live in hope a mass production version of something like this may come together

That engine looks like it came out of a 3D printer (judging by the valve train cover).

Well heard back from some of the guys who went to the Benelli Centenary celebrations and the Tesi 600cc project has been mothballed due to Marconi leaving and moving to Gas Gas along with some other tech staff from engineering, 600cc engine is in deep freeze due to world economy, even the Due 756 and BX range of mx, enduro and motards bikes are in hiatus. :-(.
Apparently Moto Morini going under scared managment, so its softly softly for next few years, Due still undergoing reliability trials.

So bugger it, sent off a email to Vyrus enquiring about a 986 M2.
the next plan for 12-18 months.

nothing as yet, feel free to sendany info over :-),
I'm glad they dumped the hydraulic steering on the 986, I figure wait a good 12-18 months for them to work out any issues, and I'll enquire about importation etc.
Will try to track down the owner of the vyrus 985 in tassie over the weekend.

pity it isnt 675 powered ;-)

Well, that goal died in the arse pretty quick.
the road going version is "a long way in the future" according to Vyrus, as moto 2 rules dont allow mc's to be entered which are road bikes.

    Crap!

ah ... that is very dissapointing stuff.

Surely there can be some kind of limited edition like with the desmo? Owell, they are too small to deal with this kind of stuff.

As is Desmosedici? I don't think that has been homologated to run in any race series and it's not an actual replica of the MotoGP bike.
