Oh god the new shape 900SS is probably a fair jump ahead of the previous roundy shape, and the 1000DS another leap ahead. I wonder what one would be like with some nice forged mag marchesinis or even some BST's with Braketech CMC brakes.....
Click here to see my Ducati 999R in the PSB garage... You'll love it!

Don't click here to see my ZX9R aka The Ginger Ninja... there's no link!

    Rod;
There seem to be NO difference in the 900SS and the SS1000DS in regards ro body work/tank & seat even the exhaust system seems same.
    I though that mine was a 1000DS.
The Gold Brembo wheels make it stand out .
Grey wheels do not do it for me ( purely personal choice)

Here is the difference between carbon fibre tank protector of 900SSie and the 900SS carbie models.
I do not need the 900SS carbie model (with 900SS relief embossed in it, RHS) so it is for sale for what I paid for it.
Is was ducati dealer product never used with double sided tape.

better order a tank protector as the one I though I had double is no good to you.
tank protector looks and feels beautifull and well made!
All good it is on and looks fine.
bit of a job to get all the stuff off from the old spongy pad, a decent day of carefully working on it!

The carbie rear wheel huggers should fit on our model as well

A very under rated bike! - not mega horsepower or anything but light, narrow and fun to ride, and as quick as anything out there on a winding road with a compotent rider.
I was slightly dismissive of them, until Haldane's lent me one for a day. I was loath to give it back.

If you can afford to stump up for the 1000DS motor do so.

They do not come with gold wheels all Gray even the humpy!
SS1000DS was what I was looking for, but I choose thisune.
Set up the suspension before going country!
Not the fastest bike out there but for the more mature biker a good toy to have.
The IE and DS are fuel injected and do have all the good gear so you do not have to rebuy half the bike making it happen.
Yes I still have the carbon cover!
