Nah, more boring than that. The one that linked the gear lever with the gearbox. Riding home in 1st. Yay.

My Dad collected his 1199S from Frasers yesterday!

    Well, it sounds un-fukn-real...
Even with the stock pipes, its loud, snarly and angry as fook.
Dont think he took it past 6k rpm either.

    Awesome lookin & soundin machines!
Just gotta steal the keys now...

Dont the dealers run a spanner over the things before flogging them off?

Base - Couldn't justify the 'cost vs. benefit' of the S (not to say that others can't). I got Anthony to stick me in the queue on the Easter weekend.

You will love it, and there can be no doubt of that. The quick shifter is the best I've used but it's the lack of weight that really surprised me.
The change in throttle response in the different modes is also fantastic. The only downside which is frankly unavoidable is the heat... it is going
to cook thigh meat in summer.
Anyway, I'm out racking up kays every night this week to get it up to the first service, because it's going on a 1500 kilometre jaunt down south
in a couple of weeks (rain, hail or shine).
    Spiral out, keep going...

    I agree with your words.
"IF" I was to go the route of the Panigale I would do the same, go the base model route.

Still flipping the coin on an S1000RR.

Hopefully nobody has bought one for the fuel economy

A vespa would be a better option than a superbike
Do you remember the good old days before the internet?

when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

If you are worried about fuel economy...

Do not start thinking about how long a tyre will last, or what it costs...
