The prancing horse now featured on Ferrari's logo also appeared on early Ducati's! There are a few bikes with
the horse on at the Ducati factory in Bologna.

    Seriously? Which bikes?
I know that Ferrari were pretty involved in the development of the 748R motor, I didn't realise they went back further than that.

It must be a prick setting up the suspension settings for a track day.

In the early to mid 80's many Ferrari V8's were assembled in the Ducati factory. Not sure if that was simply a solution of convenience or whether the technical ties go deeper.

Mike Hailwood's bike from 1960. I took about a million pictures whilst I was there.
All Ducati's were originally silver like this. It wasn't until countries were designated
colours for international racing that they adopted red as did Ferrari.

On a side note, the Ducati factory was such an amazing place. The super cute
girl that showed us around the museum and factory floor told us so much stuff
I never realised about Ducati. They originally never made motorcycles! Just radios
and calculators. If you go to Bologna, it is a must see!

Some people may recognise this bike (with the prancing horse)...
