    Expanding Tank

G'day good people, I have been looking through a ducati forum and was wondering if anyone has had any problems with their fuel tank?? It seems they have been suffering from expansion and some leaking in the US and there is some sort of law suit against Ducati about this problem!! Ducati lawsuit? - ducati.org forum | the home for ducati owners and enthusiasts I hope the link works but if it doesn't I found in Ducati.org.

The problem is around ethanol in fuel, basically its next to impossible to buy this fuel in WA, over east it is clearly labeled. Where's the pics?

From memory,Ducati are not going to take responsibility for any Ethanol damage after a certain point from settlement. Pretty handy if you live where Ethanol is in all fuels.
Was on one of the ducatims forums or ducati.org , but there are so many threads I can't find the correct link.

Duc tanks are made by Acerbis , as well as Aprillia and a few other Euro brands, which are now also starting to suffer the same illness!

Think there may be issues somewhere as manufacturers either have to go back to steel , or the Lawmakers get rid of Ethanol [not likely], as the ethanol will damage all plastic tanks at some stage of it's life. [apparently]

Correct me if I am wrong , but aren't OZ tanks meant to be steel for anything licensed for the road, unless the bike is an Enduro unit?
