for MV owners

dont know if this is olde or common news , but popped into pro-twin today to book the duc in for a service , but he's got a f4 (1000 i think) and a brutale (america??) both had collapsed rear wheel bearings with about 5000kays on the clock

for good measure those on the brutale had chewed out the "big alloy axle"

ouchies

Yeah from what I've read you have to watch out for the white spray on the wheel? Can happen way before the service interval to replace it too. A cheaper replacement is available from bearing shops - the one from MV is $800 or something and the same thing from a bearing supplier is a quarter of the price?

Went out to ... well half way to Toodyay and fixed a puncture on a 1098. All the while thinking about what could go wrong with my bike.
Got home after a beautiful ride and I must say a couple of rear end slides!
Wish you were there Craig and John.

Rod, Vee2 is making some calls this morning to bearing supplier - not MV, as you are no doubt aware, their prices are ridiculous
