So I'll try to keep this short. I can't go into specifics but the North American practice of the consultancy for which I work (to whom I still belong) has apparently heard great things about my work over here in Australia and may or may not have made the call to bring me back to the US earlier than expected so they can get me to take my show on the road through north american (Calgary, here I come, maybe!).
This presents me with an interesting option regarding Mia, my beloved 848. Do I ship her back to the states, or do I sell her here?
The purpose of this thread is to figure out what a fair asking price is on the bike. Consider the following:
- just turned over 5000 k's on the odometer
- never (literally) ridden in any type of moisture
- garaged for her entire life
- termi full cat-back exhaust with ECU / filter
- ducati performance steering dampener
- ducati 14-tooth front sprocket
- ducati carbon fibre exhaust cover (the little thing by the pillion's right leg)
I have also finally gotten around to making the insurance claim to get the crack in the right front faring fix so in a few weeks she literally won't have a scratch on her. Also, those of you that know me know I don't ride hard, ever, so she's going to run as well or better than a new bike.
I honestly don't care about making a killing if I sell her, I own it outright and I don't really need the money. That being said, I'm not going to get taken for a ride on her because:
- I can ship her back to the states for under $500, so there is no financial pressure for me to sell
- I am in love with the girl
What do you guys think? What can I ask for her? I'd love for her to go to a loving home belonging to someone at PSB since you guys have been so fantastic to me over the past months and like I said, I'm not going to make price an issue.
Let me know,
Chris
