    MBP Collets

They're rated highly but I've no experience with them. Anyone here used them?

Going into my 900 Engine this week....

Decided to give them a go, they are cheap and if can offer greater time frame between shimming then well worth it I say.

The shimming intervals are what attracted me to these collets. They would pay for themselves in just a few months. Thirty thousand kilometres between adjustments on any motorbike sounds almost too good to be true but I haven't read anything negative about the collets anywhere.

I'm going to give them a go.

Any joy with these, Flash? Undecided as whether to buy some or not? Did you need to swap shims afterwards or did they keep the same clearances?

I'm the slowest rebuilder here and I've only just got around to looking at these and as I'm stripping the motor as we speak, I test fitted a pair on one valve 'just to see'. They seat the valve higher so new shims will be needed.

With the speed I'm going, it could be months before I get this lot back together.
