I take mine to ProTwin - I trust them. Then again, others don't for varying reasons and would prefer Fraser's. I wouldn't bother with Causeway's. I don't think anyone's got a bad thing to say about Patto though.

+1 on termis, although the full system isn't absolutely necessary.

Take the baffles out and get ready to go deaf!

nice choice i'm going to have to hurry up and get myself a 1098 or 1198

i deal with patto for mine because he's local but probably still would even if i lived somewhere else but for me that's more about friendship and trust than anything else.

Any dealership can make a mistake it's all about whether you trust them to make it right.

Pro twin do a lot of good work, Frasers have an ex race mechanic who is highly skilled and everything else needed to take care of your pride and joy, causeway wouldn't be part of the scene if they couldn't remain competitive.

Go check them all out you'll find what you want and who puts you most at ease, whether you want it done quickly and efficiently then pay your money and ride away, or you don't care how long it takes as long as you're treated like their number one customer, i don't really see any of them letting you down just depends how much interaction you want.
Do you remember the good old days before the internet?

when arguments were only entered into by the physically or intellectually able.

Thankyou all for you input on the mechanics , it has had it's servicing at frasers , was also told the mechanic was a race mech , causeway is my closest ,
now I'm in two minds about the termis .. Of course I'd love the full 70mm system I rode one with and also had the baffles out ,,, my god that sounded good shame about the bike , was told it is cop bait like that ,
I mean I don't need the power I think it'll be a while if ever before I know what it can do ))
I'm better off getting the termis right ??
With the aircleaner and ecu or some acros with pc111 ,
but lets be clear it will only be for bling and noise,

Just my opinion, but yeah, I'd go for the termis. Even if you only get the slipons.. but then, a full system with the pipes ceramic coated would be some really nice bling.

One thing I don't understand, you just picked this bike up... why are you inside on the net when you should be out riding it!! Beautiful weather for riding today.

If you do get a full system a nice option is take them to a metal polisher before they are installed then upkeep is easy with some autosol

I do like the new model with the angle on the end of the cans. Dukes need termis, i think u will regret buying something else

Look up gotham cycles on the net for some good prices on exhaust an the appropriate ecu.

Have dealt with a couple of dealers in Perth. Pro twin was good an so was morry at motorcycle masters. Though the service at patto is outstanding. Been there a few times an have always left with a grin on my face.

You polished termi's? that glorious low maintenance satin I'm all about speed and the beauty of the engineering will speak for itself is gone? This is the problem with Ducati's recent success it's attracted tasteless distracted by shiney things japanese bike riders to Italian bikes .

(it's you bike do as you please )

Carbon imports (forum sponsor) has some nice looking setups for the 1098 if you don't want to go the trend humping lemming route of termi's.

haha mate I didn't want to be the first to say it..

Polished pipes look wow for about 30 seconds, but I prefer the natural look myself. I've been toying with it as well, but have decided the only bling that belongs on a duke is black chrome.... (fibre)..

But yes, it's his bike he can do whatever he damn well pleases.. Looks like he rides it like it was designed to be ridden as well, which is much more than I can say.
