    My first Ducati.

Picked this up today. Even though it is only a 1997 600cc and taps out at 180, I tested that today , it is my first Ducati and I love it. I am lucky and have a lot of twisty bits of road where I live and I had a ball wringing its neck.

Hehe, no worries. In between the bloody rain over here I have managed to get out a couple of times and am getting to know the bike. Needs some TLC on some bits but nothing too bad. The high rise steel clip ons that are on there need to go. I keep jamming my hands between them and the fairing when turning at slow speeds.

Other then that it is a fun bike to ride. Needs to be kept on the boil to get the most out of it but that just makes it more fun. Oh and it taps out at 190 ;-)

Hoping to meet up with some other riders and get out for some rides.

    Cheers guys.

It's hard to tell but the bars look like the standards. If you loosen the clamps, you should be able to drop them down a fair bit. You'll be surprised how much difference a centimetre or two would make.

Hi Flash, they are the standard clip ons. They will be coming off and a set of alloy jobbies going on ASAP.

Hi Ive a 96 900SS, with the same decal set looks heaps better than the pre 96 models IMO
well done, if you can get your hands on a cheap set of FCR's they make a huge difference the bike

I also like the title "my FIRST duke "

Well, damn. It died. Out for a ride last week and it just stopped. Won't start. I am waiting on a manual before I go looking for the problem.
