2012 Ducati 848 Streetfighter arriving in July
All the best with your new ride. I have just picked up a new Ducati and fortunately I didn't have to wait for good pipes. They are a necessity on any Ducati. Have a great Xmas.
Justine.... Always and Forever
So I've had this bad boy for a while now, probably around 4 weeks and put around 3000km's on it.
I had the suspension looked at by Marty MOOSE and sure enough it was way off. It was if someone had just spun all the dials on the bike and didn't have any idea what they were doing, the rear shock was set up for a 150kg rider haha. Needless to way it rides SO much better, when I used to corner on it it felt somewhat strange and I was real hesitant to do anything, turns out it wasn't my technique but just the setup, it feels so much more natural being tilted over. Can't praise him enough, he turned a good bike great.
On the way is a new Ducati Performance smoked screen, next purchase will be some racing baffles.
LOL Logos glad you are happy![]()
You really are a Duc rider all the new bits coming
Bike sounded great as it went up the street.

You know I have love for this thing Terry!
...I'm pretty sure its missing some carbon fiber though?
Hey Man nice bike! I just purchased 1 today and am keen to hear if you'd had any issues or dramas (other than sore wrists) running the bike in and are you still in love with it? I have the termis in transit to be fitted, and rad guards, but i cant wait for them to arrive im takin the bike now!!!! look forward to seeing you out on the road!!!!
regarding the wrist problem, it might be possible to swap over the clip ons so the angle isn't so sever on your wrists? Glad to hear your enjoying your toy though.
Now a Pom in Perthwith a DB7
Well, Friday night I must of run over a nail as I ended up having to replace the rear tyre, there goes $340. Got a 190/50 Diablo Corsa which I have an inkling might be too wide, the Metzeler I had on previously was 170.
And today in my rush to work I laid her downI was pulling out onto Stirling Hwy and I must of been in 2nd or just simply got my clutch action wrong, as I made it about a metre from standstill before it stalled, I had already started to turn so when it stalled it stopped the bike dead in its tracks and fell to the right, I can't remember exactly what happened but I think I cushioned the fall then jumped out at the last second to save it landing on my leg.
The damage is actually really, really minimal. The brake levers were bent, there's a minor scratch on the crank case and some minor scratches on the lower fairing. I rode her home and drove to work instead, I literally felt sick thinking about it. I'm pretty down about the whole thing, as it really tarnishes the pride I have in owning it, especially after making such a tiny mistake - in my mind it will never be 'the same' again. While I am grateful it was really minor and I didn't bin it or hurt myself, it just eats me up thinking about it. I'll post a picture later and you guys will probably laugh at how tiny the damage is.
My new Ducati performance screen arrived today, ironically I got the phonecall just after I laid her down.
second that dubs cant ride with broken leg with 3rd degree burn!

"Doesnt like"...
Sorry to hear mate!
Damage looks pretty minimal and glad to hear your all well.
Dont worry. I think these are racing bikes and some scratches/scars are OK and part of ownership. You either buy them and ride them and a certain amount of patina is part of that, or you just keep them in your garage which just isnt the point.
It's alright to feel gutted obviously but that will pass.
Good end to the week.
Mate of mine (Jazza) who rides an 1198 which is decked out to hell with CF, gave me his stock black levers and carbon fibre exhaust guard for free to cheer me up after dropping my bike, combined with the new wind shield it sure did put a smile on my face.
Another friend of mine is very well connected within the exotic car circles and asked myself and said mate to tag along today on an exotic car cruise. Among some of the cars present were: Ferrari 458 Italia and 430, Lamborghini LP-570, Porsche 997 GT3RS, Turbo S and a Techart Turbo with 700+, along with a swath of M3's etc.
It was stupidly hot and fairly sure I wasn't far off heat stroke after 3/4 hours on the bike, but it was worth it.
Here's a shot of me just thinking about life in general:

Good outcome by the sound of things!!
Photo looks pretty cool haha!
Jazza's 1198 sure is nice... He still sellin it??
You must be on AL too then, yeah?
Yeah dude I'm Ruby Rose on AL, your username sounded familiar but I couldn't think of the avatar you had haha.
He is 'selling' it but he knocked back an offer for someone to come look at it, he was keen knowing the 1199 was coming out but wasn't sold on the looks when it was unveiled haha. So guess he's keeping it!

Yeah id be keepin it too haha!
Absolutely loooooove the shape and form of the 848.
