My waterbed broke this morning. Oh, I don't have a waterbed. Bugger.
Looks nice ED
How about some retro influences, maybe gold wheels, and some MHR inspired red white green stripes on the bodywork to complement the lines of the SL. A higher exhaust on one side and lower on the other would give the rear view a twist. You could also redo the single seat with a subtle tuck and roll style just for another retro edge.
Those front indicators have never been a great styling success. You could take them out and add a colour matched moulding to complement the curves of the front end then add more subtle flush mount indicators for an extra twist.
Over and out... :-)

given that you have already cornered the market on low k, original examples...I say go to town modifying this one.

You should keep it. That way you won't need another bike that's currently up for grabs.
Please, call me Flash...
Another nice score there mate.
Wounds Heal, Bones Mend, Chicks Dig Scars and Glory Lasts Forever...
As it's a plated bike I'd get it back to 100% original (just fairing stickers required?). Maybe sell it if you get what money you want and restomod a shabby 91-96 900SS - some mild engine work, ceramic bearings everwhere, BST's, Brembo HP brakes etc.... There was a 900 of sorts on ducati.ms with a st3 engine - that looked ace.
Click here to see my Ducati 999R in the PSB garage... You'll love it!
Don't click here to see my ZX9R aka The Ginger Ninja... there's no link!

I agree with Rod - keep the plaqued Superlight original and get a regular SS if you want to modify / repaint / fighter / chopper it.
This department requires no physical fitness program, as everyone gets more than enough exercise jumping to conclusions, flying off the handle, running down the boss, dodging responsibility, and pushing their luck.

I'd leave it lookin pretty much as is , it is a S/L after all .
Add stickers , bst's , 944 kit and FCR's.
Keep bike. By new bike. Strip new bike and leave engine parts all over the house , including loungeroom and dishwasher.
Post photo of look on wifes face when she gets home. Win![]()
