yep its gonna be a very interesting 09/10 season for Italy, the desmosedici rival's of a V4 Benelli and Aprilia V4 1000, be interesting to see what the Aprilia V4 retails at, i know Benelli's positioned theres to be no more than 10 to 15% more than the equivalent jap 1000cc superbike.
Also be interesting to se their power curves?. that DD16R article I posted out showed the 1098 and Honda (especially the Honda) to have a killer power curve whereas the DD was all top end. I read how Benelli V4 will run a GP spec power curve, i.e. a track focussed engine of top end. I suppose you can always throw on a heavier flywheel to have a grunty midrange?
Either way, the future outa Italy looks fuggin awesome !!

Hmm, the lights change the look of it alot, although the fairing still seems the same as the race version seen ^above^^^
The gaps under the headlights remind me of the '08 blade, while that bit with the red tape in the centre seems shaped very similar to the intake on a Daytona 675...
