Photoshoot "subjects" needed - free.

Hi guys,

Been doing car photography on a semi-pro basis for a few years now, but keen to start doing a few bike photoshoots.

OZ Car Sightings is my site if you wanna have a look.

Mainly deal with exotic cars so would love a few Italian bikes to add to the Italian cars on my site.

Prefer to keep it to relatively modern sports bikes (1098, MV F4 would be nice etc) or anything a bit rare or special.

Normally charge but won't in this case as I wanna get the bike section going on my site, so if you're interested please post here or PM me.

Will have to be on weekends as I work during the week.

We are doing a Moto Italiano shoot in a couple of weeks and were looking for a pro to do some pics for us. The shoot consists specifically of rare/limited Italian models, Desmo D16RR, MV Senna's and the like.
Check the Moto Italiano section out or PM Nero Diablo, he's our main man on the MI shoot.

You might want to tighten up "free" there, Jan. For example...

TFCD is pretty common when someone's trying to start up a new section in their portfolio.

Usually it's a case of "You will rock up looking with your bike, both of you will look clean and neat. In exchange for letting me take these photos and making yourself and your ride presentable, I will give you full res images".

The TFCD contracts I've seen used around the place typically say that, should either the shooter or the "model" manage to sell the image, any profit is split 50/50.

Sample pics look great! Good luck with your venture. Oh, just a tip, if you need to Photoshop anything out of the pictures (why would you?) it's probably a good idea to ask the owner (etc) first before publishing ...

but the preferred user friendly option would be to give them prints of the best pics... i mean they are cheap to do.

Terms and conditions can be worked out with the individuals, in the past (with cars) if the shoot was free then I don't provide anything other than the images available for download on my site. Normally there is a charge and for that the car owner got a CD with the high-res originals and the right to do with them what they like.

Never had anyone want money from any images I've sold of their car, they got what they wanted out of it. Plus they own $500K cars anyway haha.

Organising posters/prints is up to them or I can do it for a fee. Also done calendars in the past.

How good are you at photo shop mate? Reason I ask is I have some stickers on the side of my bike I dont want to show in the photo... just asking.

Actually you can... As far as any copyright that you may or may not have in a picture of you and your bike all that has to happen is that it's in writing, signed and preferably dated and witnessed, the only thing you can't assign are "moral rights" which really don't come into play in this particular scenario...
